Just when you think Motorola are dead and buried (so to speak), they come back with this amazing handset! Motorola used to release some quality phones and took the market by storm with the V3 RAZR they released a few years back. After releasing a few mediocre handsets that haven't been that popular it's great to see that they have released a great range of touchscreen handsets! One of the first being the Motorola Defy, it's a got a wide range of features in a rugged dust, bump and water-resistant casing, with a massive 3.7 inch touch screen that features Gorilla glass covering that is scratch-resistant!

Browse the web on the move with fast 3G HSDPA browsing and with the Android HTML Webkit browser you can view most websites without any difficulty as the webkit include Adobe Flash support. You can also connect to the internet via Wi-Fi for connectivity for hotspots across the UK or whilst abroad, the phone is also Quad-Band ready so no need to leave your phone at home, as the phone is ready for use across most of the globe!

The Defy has a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, an LED flash, geo-tagging, image stabilization and video recording. There is a multimedia player capable of playing most formats of music and video files. Facebook, MySpace & Twitter are fully integrated throughout the handset to allow you stay connected on the move!

Overall the Motorola Defy is a good handset that delivers all the must-haves from a Smartphone but in a rugged sleek case that will handle those accidental drops on the floor.

The phone that is "virtually life proof", this is my third defy in four months the most recent I've had for one day and became faulty, my first one I had for three weeks then when making or receiving calls I had to put the phone on loud speaker as it didn't work via the normal speaker, I sent it away for repair (reading on Google - this is a common fault) It was away for four weeks then they couldn't repair it so sent me out another one. The second one had many faults screen freezing, switching self off, when texting it would come up the wrong letters! Then Like I said the third one lasted less than 24 hours now I am sending this one back and getting a galaxy ace in return, fingers crossed it will be better!

The Motorola Defy is an excellent phone with a very clear screen. Very easy to use with a choice of screens so you can keep all your contacts from Facebook, Twitter etc on one screen and calls etc on another. Very good camera as well and has a large amount of storage which can be expanded with a larger micro sd card. Very easy to use for texting etc, as it has a qwerty key pad. Good internet access also a very useful gps function and loads of apps available. All in all a very good phone!

This phone was quick to use, my partner liked it as he thought it was masculine looking so ended up with mine! His view was that the phone was fantastic for use at his work environment, (very dusty and dirty) as no dust was able to penetrate the phone unlike other handsets.

I felt the phone was an imitation iPhone but much cheaper. It was quite hard wearing compared to the iPhone and more practical.
