Introducing the U11 from HTC - which really promises to pack a powerful punch! From its large high resolution, amazing sound quality and a new “squeeze” technology, the HTC U11 will have something for everyone.

Edge Sense is the formal name for the HTC U11’s squeeze technology. As the name of the technology suggest you can quite literally squeeze the side of the phone to allow you to access additional functions, these will be depend on which application you are in at the time.

As an example if you were scrolling through Facebook you could squeeze to like a photo, or if you were on the homepage you could squeeze to switch on the U11’s built in torch.

The HTC U11 features a large 5.5 inch quad-HD (2560 x 1440 pixels) resolution, this helps to ensure that anything displayed on the screen is sharp and as crisp as possible. The screen has been coated with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 - helping to protect the screen from those inevitable scratches and knocks.

Along with the Corning Gorilla Glass the U11 has additional production in the form of being IP67 certified - this means that the phone is dust and water resistant. It is water resistant to up to a depth of 1 meter and for a length of 30 minutes.

The U11 features the latest version of HTC USonic, this now combines standard active noise cancellation with the ability to tune the audio to you unique hearing! The USonic earbuds will map your inner ear with an advanced sonar-like technology and then automatically adjusts the sound profile to match your unique biology.

As like other mobile phone manufacturers, HTC have decided to remove the headphone jack from the U11, pushing you down the route of Bluetooth wireless headphones. If you have a pair of headphones already and aren’t ready to replace them then HTC include a headphone adapter in the box.

Running the latest version of Android 7.1 (Nougat) and with an Octa-core processor the HTC U11 delivers on high performance multi tasking and allows you to get your tasks done effortlessly. The phone comes 64GB of internal storage and a massive 4GB of RAM. You can further upgrade the internal memory by up to 256GB with the use of a microSD memory card.

The HTC U11 has a great 12 Megapixel camera - in fact it has been awarded a 90 rating from DxOMark, this is highest rating ever awarded to a smartphone! DxOMark is an independent company that rates smartphone cameras.

The 12 Megapixel camera features a dual-LED flash, and super-fast autofocus which makes the camera quick and allows you to take sharp images in all lighting conditions. Other features of the camera include geo-tagging, touch focus, face detection, HDR and a panorama mode. You can also record video in up to 4k quality at 30fps. A secondary camera is located on the front of the phone, this is a 16 Megapixel camera and is great for video calling and taking selfies.

There is a front mounted fingerprint reader, this will allow your phone to be unlocked by presenting your fingerprint to the reader. There is an option to use a PIN code to override the fingerprint reader.

There is a large 3000 MAh battery, this will last even the heaviest of users a full day. HTC state that it will last for up to 336 hours on standby but take this figure with a pinch of salt. The U11 has a fast battery charging option (Quick Charge 3.0) this will allow you to get a quick boost of battery when you need it most.

The HTC U11 is available in five colours; Amazing Silver, Sapphire Blue, Brilliant Black, Ice White & Solar Red.
