Nokia Asha 205 Mobile Phone Reviews

Dual sim, low cost and reliability are key for the Nokia Asha 205. Coming from the Nokia Asha range we weren't expecting a boundry breaking smartphone but the features that have been packed within it are still enough to leave us impressed.

The first item of note about the handset is the QWERTY keypad and the Nokia Asha 205 is one of the few devices on the market to offer this feature. It is a solid and sleek device. The Asha 205 has great battery life and although it's not a fully fledged smartphone it is packed full with features that make it a great little handset.

One of the great features of the Nokia Asha 205 is the ability to switch between two sim cards without the need to restart the device; great for business users. On that note, the Asha 205 does not support 3G and as such you won't be using it for any high-speed browsing. Nokia have, however, done their best to optimise the Asha 205 for the social media age by providing an efficient browser and social media apps which should make surfing the net less of a chore. The focus on social media is re-enforced with the addition of a Facebook key on the handset.

Effort has been made on the Nokia OS in order to give the Asha range and in particular the Asha 205 a great range of apps. The face book app is accessible from a button on the front of the handset and whatsapp is available to download from the Nokia Store. A variety of games are available on the Nokia Asha 205 which take us back to the handsets of the early 2000s.

A down side of the Nokia Asha 205 is the mere 0.3 megapixel camera which isn't going to stand up anything on the market and seems more of a box ticking exercise than a fully fledged feature. That said, the Nokia Asha 205 and in fact the Asha range are not targeted at those who want true smartphone features and given the price tag of under £50 it is hard to complain.

The Nokia Asha 205 is likely to win over those who want a phone that will call and text without making a song and dance about it; battery life is great and copes well with social media too.
