Our view:
After letting Nokia be the first manufacturer out of the two to release a 3 megapixel camera phone, Sony Ericsson are quick to respond with this stunning new phone. It's similar to the predecessors; K750i, W800i & W810i but the biggest difference is the camera which really does give it that edge over the others.
The K800i is very similar as we said to the predecessors; it offers a MP3 player which supports MP3 & AAC file types. It has a built in FM Radio with RDS technology in case you get bored listening to your own music. RDS allows the name of the Radio station to be displayed on your screen a nice gadget but a bit pointless. There is support for MP3 ringtones so you can have your favourite track as your ringtone or you can just have a normal Polyphonic tune. The K800i also has expandable memory but with a slight difference, instead of using Memory Stick Pro Duo cards, it uses Memory Stick Micro or M2. It will do the same job just slightly smaller, it also means that if you have one of the previous phones and you have already brought a big memory card for it, you would have to buy another one for your K800i! (Just a way of making more money) ...

The K800i is also 3G so you can make and receive video calls providing you have 3G reception, it's a nice feature and the more phones that allow you to do this, the more popular it will get. And as with all good phones the K800i has Bluetooth so you can send and receive data to another Bluetooth device.
Now to get to the good stuff, the camera... No longer is a 2 Mega Pixel camera the one to have, its now 3.2 Mega Pixels! We are slowly but surely getting into digital camera quality! So you've got a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto focus, and a built in flash! This phone is truly a step in the right direction.
