Our view:
The Samsung S8300 Tocco Ultra also known as the Ultra TOUCH is a welcome addition to the range of touch screen phones from Samsung it is a high end, high spec phone and will join the 8 mega pixel camera club!
The phone measures in at just 12.77 mm thin and has a concealed slider that reveals a useful keypad. The S8300 features a large 2.8 inch touch screen, which has an anti starch compound, this should help protect the screen from those little knocks and bumps! The S8300 is a 3G capable handset with video calling and HSDPA support up to 7.2Mbps. HSDPA is the technology needed to use your phone as a modem. The speed you will receive will depend on network and location. ...

As you have guessed the S8300 features a 8 mega pixel camera with auto focus, a LED flash and video recording capabilities (up to 30fps). The camera also has such features as Geo-tagging which tags the photo with your location, smile detection and image stabilization. There is 80Mb of internal memory and the ability to expand this up to 16GB with the use of a microSD memory card.
There is a music and video player, a document viewer and a organizer to help you keep a track of your day to day bits. The S8300 also supports Bluetooth with A2DP, this allows you to use a set of wireless Bluetooth stereo headphones. Overall it is a good handset, the only thing we see as a downfall is the failure to include Wi-Fi but you can get unlimited internet packages from most networks from ₤5 a month.

This phone is great, the screen is wow and much brighter and clearer than my Sony Ericsson C905 the keypad is comfy and easy to use, as typing on a touch screen is not my cup of tea, feels like a quality build even though the phone is made of plastic it doesn't feel cheap.
Screen is very responsive but this phone has a couple of problems; first of all try loading up a picture to show someone, you can quickly get it to show the thumbnail but then getting the phone to show the full screen image takes forever honestly you could make a cup of tea by the time its done it.
Yes I know it has no Wi-Fi but who cares I will use my pc for the net as I have a 22"hd screen so why would I want to use a 2.8" screen to view the net?! Never seen the point of Wi-Fi but this will bother some people.
Also noticed when you miss a call it will tell you in a info box which is good for when you have more than 1 missed call as it will disappear when you view the call log but if you only have one missed call it keeps reappearing until you call them back annoying. Last niggle signal not as good as my C905 was not by alot but enough to notice it.
Overall a great phone with a good camera and easy to use menu (and easy texting thanks to keypad) with a few niggles but every phone will have niggles. Worth buying!
