Our view:
There are two types of handsets on the market at the moment, the cheap basic models which don't do much more than let you call and send texts or the top of the range smart phones which can organise your whole life. So what if you want a handset that lands between the two we hear you say? Well Samsung have brought us the Tocco Lite, a classy touch screen handset that packs a decent punch but saves you money by not including features that the majority of users do not use.
You get the same looks that you would expect from Samsung, a generous 3 inch touch screen with user friendly interface, BlueTooth AD2P and an extensive media player. What you loose however is a lot of the connectivity options, such as Wi-Fi and HSDPA(3G), that allow for high speed internet from your mobile. Not an issue for the average Joe but it will mean internet access is very slow, so not a handset if you need to stay connected. On the upside the 3.2 megapixel camera has smile detection so you can avoid any "grouchy" images!...

The original Tocco was a fun handset to use and the Lite follows in it's foot-steps. If your not too worried about social networking on the go then this fun handset won't disappoint.

This is a great phone! The camera is very clear and it never crashes. I have had this phone for ages and it has never needed to be fixed. I would definitely recommend this phone to anyone!

This phone is a good phone but it easily scratches and sometimes switches off. Other than that it is a good phone!

if you are looking for a cheap but decent touchscreen phone then this is an excellent choice. it can have music, videos and much more. It also
has a rather good 3.2 mp camera, meaning that you can take some good shots.
The only real letdowns are the memory and the touchscreen. it doesn't have a massive memory, only about 120mb, but you can put an SD memory card in and improve on that. The touchscreen is a resistive touchscreen, meaning that it isn't as good as some phones, but they all cost a lot more that this. Even though it's resistive it is still pretty good. for a cheap touchscreen phone (varying from £50 to £70) it is very very good But you may also want to consider the Orange San Francisco, for just £20 more, with a better screen, capacitive touch and the android store. However this phone is still well worth considering still!

Very durable and efficient phone. Touch screen becomes slow and unresponsive at times and applications sometimes take a few moments to load. But for simple phone utilities it is perfect, the camera is pretty impressive as well

Fantastic phone for the price and a really good deal with Tesco mobile. £10 a month for 500 minutes, unlimited texts and internet. Easy to use large touchscreen. Very easy to use basic phone functions like texting and making calls. Good calendar facility. Internet use is very basic but ok if you just want to compare a price or Google a map, etc. I love it!

This phone takes too long to connect to internet. Making phone calls are not easy as after connection you have to hold a button down to use other options.

This little phone looks stylish and is comfortable to hold however the touch screen doesn't match up. It can be very frustrating touching a button which registers that it has been selected but then does nothing! There seems to be a problem with the phone recognising the pressure needed to use the touchscreen.

It's very sensitive but like the feel of it. My daughter passed this onto me when she had her new phone at Christmas. Took me quite a while to get the scrolling technique without accidently ringing people by mistake which is funny but now I love the touch screen better than buttons.

Excellent in style and looks. The touch screen needed a complete overhaul as it just wasn't that responsive. The Internet was also quite slow at viewing web pages. However a very slim mobile phone with alot of handy features and functions and i found to be very reliable. I was also pleasantly surprised to learn that the screen didn't bleed my battery dry it still worked for up to 14 days before recharge. so overall a 3 from me on this Samsung product!

This phone is the best I have had. Calls are easy to make, the MP3 player is excellent and the widgets on the front screen make using the phone even easier. I liked this phone so much I bought 1 for my daughters. The only down side is that playing games isn’t as good as regular button phones, saying that there is a lot of touch screen games out there now.
Also the phone is durable-I have dropped my phone a few times resulting in little scratches on the back of the phone but the touch screen is fine. I’ve had it for 2 years this Christmas which is the longest I've had a phone for but I just don’t want to swap it.

Overall this phone does pretty much everything I need it to...Facebook (VERY IMPORTANT), music, radio, calendar, blah blah usual stuff. It's easy to navigate and I love being able to arrange the widgets I need on the home screen. The ONLY two downsides (and they are small) is that although the camera is fairly decent, there is no flash...but you can alter the brightness before taking a shot which helps a lot. Also I don't like that when you call your voicemail it's a pain having to unlock the screen, and then go to keypad to be able to select the numbers to listen to options. Like I say...small downside to a phone that meets pretty much all the basic requirements of a phone for the average user

The phone was slow and the touch screen broke completely after having this phone for less than a year. I would not recommend it.

It's ok but the screen is quite flimsy and scratches very soon after you start to use it but it's very easy to use and ideal for a first time phone for a young person or elderly.
