Samsung F480 Tocco Reviews

Our view:
The F480 Tocco is yet another touch screen handset from Samsung. Being released into the highly competitive and popular market for handsets with touch screens, can it really live up to the mark?

Looks wise the F480 has as much of a distinctive look as it can, setting itself aside from other touch screen mobiles that seem to be a screen slapped onto a metal case. Samsung have done this by moving the design onto the rear of the mobile and with the new position of the mic, the perfect location to show it off when your making calls. ...

There is a 5 megapixel camera on the phone, not just for capturing images but also video, however the quality of the video capture is not exactly jaw-dropping. The 232MB of built in memory should be enough for those picture moments and a few MP3s but for those wanting more space the handset can be upgraded to 8GB with the use of a MicroSD card.

The Samsung F480 Tocco has more 'fun' packed into it than some of it's competitors, for instance the LG KU990 Viewty, with a varioty of 'widgets' that can be placed on your home screen to control the media player or view your pics.

Loving my Samsung Tocco, I was quite annoyed to discover that there was a pink version released just after I had brought the silver one! But I'm over that now! LoL The camera is great and i love the size of the phone its just so small and cute!

I have had the Tocco for a few days now without any complaints. The drag and drop interface is easy to use and is very vibrant and clear. Only thing is the the phone is not as customizable as I thought it would have been as there are no extra themes for it (yet). A few of my friends have had camera problems, if you hold to the camera button halfway till it focuses, then you wont have any problem. I am very pleased with the Tocco, you will be too.

Well, to start of, the phone is very simple. Its settings are not complex enough, and nothing can be modified to a nice level. It is slow when it is overloading on the internet, it decides to turn itself off and back on. Compared to other phones, it is not sufficient. It has a mediocre camera, but on a plus side, it has video recording and a flash. I would recommend this phone to people who simply want a standard phone without any 'flashiness'. the internet can be slow at times, but is faster than some other phones.

I would not rate this phone at all - as pretty as it looks and as useful as it sounds I have never had a phone break so easily and, unfortunately conned into some nice-sounding deal - having no option but to send it back to be fixed or replaced so many times it was eventually so exasperating that it was worth paying high prices to cancel that contract to just get a basic contract and buy a Nokia 3310 from 2001 that is still as sound and unbreakable as ever.

I am not someone that frequently uses phones or brings them everywhere with me. In fact I actively dislike them and use them only because it's become difficult not to. I don't carry phones on holiday or when hiking or anywhere near water or theme parks - it basically stays on my table at home or in my locker at work and yet the Tocco F480 would break from falls of literally half a foot, it would be water damaged from getting some moisturiser on it accidentally and cleaned off quickly, it was once hurt from my putting my bag down! It is a ridiculously fragile phone which renders it utterly useless.

If, like me, you use a phone to simply text and call, buy a five quid old-school Nokia off eBay and invest half the money you would otherwise have spent into a non-phone inclusive contract.

The predictive text does not work well, spelling words that do not exist.

This is my most favourite phone. It is so easy to use and has excellent features - media player, games, and internet. I even went back to it when I was upgraded. My new phone didn't compare to it!
