Our view:
When Nokia announced they would be creating a mini version of the N97 everybody expected a noticeable size difference, a decent loss of weight and updated features. What Nokia provided us with was nearer to 0.3 inches smaller, 12g lighter and a device which had lost it's “nav-pad”.
The handset has all of the same applications and features of it's big brother aside from a few changes, like battery life and internal memory(we've lost out there), but what you do get is a handset very similar to all of Nokia's other N-series offerings like, Nokia Maps which, with GPS should mean your never lost again(unless you loose your handset that is!), geo-tagging, Wi-Fi and HSDPA for high speed mobile internet. ...

We don't like putting handset's down, but unless the old N97 was, oh say 0.3 inches too big for your pocket or just around 12g to heavy for you then we'd stick to the old version. Sorry!

Charger port can be a bit unreliable otherwise an excellent phone full of features.

I'm very set in my ways when it comes to mobiles and how they work so it's hard for me to find a phone I like but this one 'does it' for me! It’s easy to use touch screen/and keyboard, I have fattish fingers but manage to get on with the keyboard well so bonus! The clear screen is good for internet use and viewing photos. The camera is great but it does work best in nature lighting as can become a little blurred or dark in other situations but does have a flash. The music plays clearly and is easy to find.
My only concern is when/if the main menu (button on front) mucks up I won’t have away to access my menu. Overall thumbs up!
