Our view:
The Nokia 5800 is one of the better offerings of late from Nokia, a company who seem to have fallen behind slightly in the current market of modern Smartphones. This first foray into the touch screen market really does make an impact.
The device is a simple yet powerful media capable phone capable of playing a variety of media, with a large 3.2 inch touch screen with handwriting recognition and 16M colours. The Handset also comes with a stand making the viewing of videos in combination with its high-quality loud speakers much more pleasant than its rivals. ...

On the subject of its screen the touch screen is one of the better on the market and responds very well unlike some of the sore finger generating touch screens in a similar price range. It also manages web-browsing and socialising as well as any of it’s competitors and it’s large high-res screen really helps here.
The handset is a great media player that is as versatile as it is good looking and is suitable for those looking to use their phone to entertain as well as communicate.

Good phone, great for music. Screen scratches easily so a case should be bought, stylus is also easily lost.

This handset has been really reliable, the internet is really quick, and the dedicated media button in the top right is ideal for quick access to music and gallery. Camera is of high quality and produces great pictures and videos. The battery life is brilliant and in general is a very reliable handset & user friendly.

Very poor phone, quality of watching videos is poor, also does not have flashplayer so unable to go onto many sites. Would not recommend this phone. The screen on phone became faulty 3 times in 12 months.
