T-Mobile offer new unlimited text deals
May sees the launch of T-Mobiles new tariffs - Combi! The tariffs offer great value for money with the luxury of having a new phone too! The Flext deals will still stay around for those that aren't heavy texters and like a bit of flexibility with their phone contract.
The Combi tariffs are designed with value for money in mind, therefor Combi 30 gives you 600 minutes and unlimited texts all for £30 per month on an 18 month contract. If you feel you talk a little more than that then Combi 35 offers 800 minutes and unlimited texts or Combi 40 with 1000 minutes and unlimited texts. There is also a Combi 25 tariff offering 300 minutes and 300 texts per month.
As usual these are just the standard deals there are always better deals to be had. Such as deals with automatic cashback which do not require claiming and a free gift such as a Nintendo DS, an iPod Nano or a Sony PSP.

International Roaming Charges Revealed
Whilst I was watching Dispatches this evening a special entitled "The Mobile Phone Rip Off" I thought it would be best to share vital information about the cost of calls and texts whilst abroad in an EU country. This information is readily available from the network websites but isn't always that easy to find, so as a quick reference it has been posted here.
Last year all the networks were forced into an agreement to reduce the cost of roaming whilst roaming in an EU country making it more cost effective for you, the consumer. Whilst there was a banding put in place for these calls most networks priced their calls towards the upper limit that the government set. Thus they were still making a huge profit from calls made by yourselves.
The call charges for each network are listed below to help you when you make an informed choice when picking your new mobile.

As you can see 3 Mobile have the cheapest rates and have really come well below the rate that was set by the government. Just so you know the official rate that networks had to stick to was 38p a minute to make a call and 19p a minute to receive a call. As you can see all the networks have stuck to this "guideline" with the exception of O2 shaving a couple of pence of and 3 Mobile reducing their cost by masses! There is still no official guidelines on what a text or picture message should cost. However all texts that are received abroad are free.
The government is currently in talks with the networks to reduce the cost of data charges whilst roaming abroad too, currently this can be extremely expensive when compared to the cost of data whilst in the UK. So we have included these in the above table as well. As you can see 3 Mobile again stick out with the lowest cost at only £3/MB.

Motorola have launched an update to the Z8, the MOTO Z10! They claim it is a all-round multi media device, offering a wide range of features in a pocket-sized shell.
The Z10 features a 3.2 megapixel camera with auto-focus. Your photos and videos can be posted on to sties such as Google, Yahoo! and You Tube without the need of a computer.

New Sony Ericsson with GPS on the horizon
As the market is always changing, we think Sony Ericsson are due for a major new announcement in the form of a shiny new K-series Cyber-Shot handset. Although people say this handset is all just speculation and rumors, we are at Your Phone Reviews know that this phone does exist and have seen a working prototype of the device.
The new Sony Ericsson Kxxx will feature a 3 megapixel auto focus camera, not a 5 megapixel camera as some website are stating. The handset will also have a GPS receiver allowing you to navigate your way from A to B.
We are yet to see a formal release from Sony Ericsson but assume it will be announced somewhere in the new features.
We are yet to see the real announcement of the device somewhere in the near future - perhaps in the beginning of February just as last year.

iPhone to get a GPS receiver
It has been announced that the Apple iPhone will benefit from an external GPS module possibly as early as February. For the application to work your iPhone has to be "jailbroken" so that you can install the third party application that gets the GPS coordinates to Gmaps.
The GPS receiver device has been produced by Part Foundry and is based on the SirfStar III chipset. The expected retail price should be around USD 89, we think that's a bargain price!
3 & T-Mobile are expected to save a massive £2bn in a network share that will see their HSDPA network boost to 98% which will be the most extensive in Europe. Its a 10 year deal which will hopefully be fully operational by 2009. The companies are also expected to do away with 5,000 mast apart of the deal which will be a thumbs up for most people.
A spokes person for T-Mobile commented: ‘The likelihood is that, yes, it will result in even better value for consumers. We will be able to bring out more and better services faster and cheaper.'
Vodafone and Orange have also signed a similar deal earlier on in the year this has not yet moved on as both sides have failed to negotiate on the value of the assets. This will leave O2 out in the dry with no network to share its HSDPA infrastructure with.

Nokia announce free music service
Nokia have let another cat out of the bag so to speak with their new service called “Comes with music” Nokia users will receive a 1 year free subscription to the service which will allow the user to download an unlimited amount of music tracks for free. After the year the service will cease however you will get to keep all the music you downloaded.
It is a one of a kind service and there is no competition for it. We can't quite make out how Nokia will make money as it sounds to be good to be true. It has not yet been announced which handsets will have the service installed.

Nokia launches two new 8800s
The new 8800 Arte Duo & 8800 Sapphire Arte are beautifully designed, the new designs continute the tradition of the funky 8800 series but add something of their own.
The handsets feature a cool feature which allows you to silence an incoming call just but turning the handset face down. Traditionally the 8800 Series have been low in specification, however these new models feature 3 megapixels cameras with auto foucs. No memory card slots but 1GB of internal memory. Both handsets will ship with interesting accessories like the Nokia BH-803 Bluetooth headset, which has noise cancellation and touch sensitive volume control. Each handset also comes with a leather pouch with a linen-lining and a desk stand.
The Nokia 8800 Arte Duo will be avaliable, by the end of 2007 & the 8800 Sapphire Arte will be avaiblefrom the first quarter of 2008.
The N82 has been leaked and the information about the N82 is finally available. The the N82 is the first 5 megapixel cmaeraphone with a xenon flash. The N82 has an action packed list of features including, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi & 3G. Even the N-gage gaming application and the Music store are included. There is also a nice feature called auto-screen rotation. This allows the screen to rotate based on whether the phone is upright or horizontal.
The Nokia N82 has a nice 132MB of internal memory as well as the ability to expand the memory with the use of a microSD card slot.
Currently we are unable to provide information about pricing or availability. But we expect this to be announced within a couple of weeks.
