The Explorer is a mid range smart phone from HTC. You set get the features you would expect from a HTC just not top of the range. The Explorer runs the latest Android operating system V2.3 gingerbread, giving you access to the Android market allowing you to download extra apps to your handset.
With HTC Sense UI you can customise the home screen to suit you, allowing you to put your popular applications in an easy to access place and with the People Widget your favourite friends and family are only a click away! ...

You can take pictures on the phones built in 3.15 Megapixel camera, with video recording and geo tagging capabilities. Whilst the phone only offers a small 90Mb of internal memory, you can expand this by up to 32Gb with the use of a microSD memory card! This would you give plenty of storage space for videos, images and music.
There is a host of connection options on board such as 3G for fast internet connection on the go, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi hotspot, this allows you to turn your phone into a Wi-Fi connection so that you can share your phones internet with other devices or a laptop. Be careful with this though as it can use a lot of data!
Other features of the HTC Explorer include an FM radio, a multimedia player, a digital compass and a internet browser that supports Adobe Flash videos!

I've had a Blackberry before and didn't like it that much. My daughter has an iPhone and that is too complicated. So for my simple mind, the HTC is very easy to operate.
Things I don't like: would only be the alarm. It is one volume setting (as loud as your ringtone) and it just jerks me awake. On the Blackberry, it increased the noise from very gently to loud.
